Schedule of Events

Our programming elves have been hard at work putting together the best in panels and events for your con-going enjoyment. So... Enjoy!

Draft copy of the Schedule!

We know you're all champing at the bit to see what's coming in less than a week - the draft of the program schedule is here!

Please keep in mind that last minute programming changes are pretty much inevitable. If we could set it in stone in December, we totally would.

Third Draft of Confusion 2013 Program Book

Jennifer Ouellette, Science GoH, on Craig Ferguson

Check out our Science Guest of Honor this year, science writer Jennifer Ouellette on Craig Ferguson!

ConFusion simply could not happen without volunteers. The con runs as a labor of love created by those willing to donate cash, time, effort, energies and ideas to make it happen year after year. It is nice to think that a job well-done is its own reward, but we know differently. ConFusion tries to reward all of its volunteers in some form or another. Gophers are extraordinarily important volunteers, so much so, that they get "paid" in a several different ways.

Dealers Room

If you are interested in getting a Dealers table, I regret to inform you that we have been sold out since October 1st. This was done partly in response to people saying we had too many dealers for the size of the convention. Next year, if the plans stay the same we will be moving the deadline for applications up to SEPT 1st. And the applications will still be juried.

Authors on Panels!

The following science fiction, fantasy, and horror authors, aside from our Guests of Honor and Subterranean Press Special Guests, will be appearing on programming at Immortal ConFusion. Come check them out!

Get Yer Ribbons Here!

Ladies and gentlemen, fen of all genres. Hear my words and unleash the creative forces of your mind. For the season of con is rapidly approaching. You my brave people, are the chosen few are the ones to decide how to reward either friend or foe. The time is now, now is the time for Ribbons.

Immortal Music

Immortal Confusion's music track is the most eclectic we've ever had, including:

  • Tom Smith, with music in every style ... except dull
  • Filk rock from Toyboat
  • Industrial Sci-Fi from Eprom Colony and the Mission Chronicles
  • Irish fiddle from Catherine Shaffer and friends
  • Avant-garde digital violin from Dixon
  • And Gene Roddenberry meets Rodgers and Hammerstein in a staged reading of the musical "Spock Pacific"

We are pleased to announce that we have a new hotel this year! We'll be at the

Doubletree Hotel Detroit/Dearborn‎
5801 Southfield Road
Detroit, MI 48228

The con room rate is just $83/night.

The hotel will have king rooms and double rooms available for us. It is possible to get adjoining rooms (always a king room adjoining to two double beds) — please just make a note when you make the room reservation. There are four suites that are $135/night that we will be assigning out — you will not be able to get them through the web registration page. The suites will NOT be on party floors, so please do not try to reserve a suite for parties. If you are having a party, you may want to book adjoining rooms instead. If you are interested in a suite, please email hotel13 [at] stilyagi [dot] org. If you have any other questions or concerns about lodging, you can also direct those questions to hotel13 [at] stilyagi [dot] org.
